Smile is a song that will appear on my second album, "shipwreck", which will be released on May 17th.

track 1 is the song as it will appear on the album

track 2 was the first mix i was working on for Smile. at the time, the lyrics were much different. and this one was mixed in Garageband, so i had less flexibility

track 3 is the same mix as track 2, but i rerecorded the vocals with new lyrics

track 4 was the second mix for the track, recorded on Logic Pro rather than Garageband. with Logic Pro, i could have a dynamic tempo to the song, which i preferred. this take has a more jangley vibe to it

track 5 is one of many demos for the song. there was a certain grit to the demos that just had a drum machine that i liked, and wanted to display here
